Imagine covering several hundred miles in three and half days. All on your own power. Running, hiking, biking, canoeing, rappelling and by whatever other means necessary. And all you have is a map and a compass to guide you. Oh, and there are random challenges thrown at you as well, like ax throwing, or pulling a pioneer handcart five miles. It’s the daunting task for athletes who take on the annual Cameco Cowboy Tough Adventure Race.

The event was conceived by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, as a way to expose more people from around the world to the rugged beauty and amazing natural resources the state offers. Racers have come from throughout North America, with teams for Europe and South America as well. Cameco Resources is proud to have been the title sponsor from the beginning.
